Introduction
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS New Delhi) has officially issued Notice No. 103/2026 announcing the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-11) 2026. This flagship national recruitment drive aims to fill 3,000+ Nursing Officer posts (Group B, Level 07 in Pay Matrix) across AIIMS New Delhi and 19+ participating AIIMS institutes, NITRD, and CAPFIMS hospitals nationwide.
Eligible candidates with B.Sc. Nursing or GNM Diploma with 2 years of hospital experience can register online at www.aiimsexams.ac.in starting from 24 July 2026 to 13 August 2026 (up to 5:00 PM). Stage-I Preliminary CBT exam will take place on 12 September 2026 and Stage-II Mains CBT exam on 30 September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Educational Qualification:
Option A (Degree Holder):
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University; OR
- B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized Institute/University.
- Must be registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council.
Option B (Diploma Holder):
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized Board/Council.
- Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State / Indian Nursing Council.
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years' Experience in a 50-bedded Hospital after acquiring essential qualification.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The crucial reference date for determining age is the closing date of online registration: 13 August 2026.

Selection Process
The recruitment of Nursing Officers through NORCET-11 involves the following 4 stages:

QualifyingStage 1: Online CBT Stage-I Preliminary ExamQualifying test (100 MCQs, 90 mins, 20 GK/Aptitude + 80 Nursing MCQs). 1/3 negative marking.

Merit ListStage 2: Online CBT Stage-II Mains Exam160 MCQs (180 mins) focused on clinical case scenario-based questions. Final merit list prepared on Stage II score.

MandatoryStage 3: Document Verification (DV)Verification of Nursing Council Registration, Degree/Diploma, Experience certificates, and Caste NOC.
