4. Eligibility Criteria & Special Agniveer Provision
- Educational Qualification: SSLC / Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
- Prescribed Background: Combatant Ex-Agniveers of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force (Agniveervayu) / Ex-servicemen / Ex-Central Armed Police Forces (Ex-CAPF) personnel with at least 04 years of service and a valid discharge certificate.

7. Contract Duration & Tenure Rules
- Engagement is initially for a period of one year, renewable annually up to a maximum duration of five years, based on satisfactory annual performance.
- For candidates previously employed at IISc through appointments made by the HR Department, the duration of their prior service will be counted toward the maximum limit of five years.
- The contract engagement may be terminated by either side by giving one month's notice.
8. Job Profile & Key Responsibilities
- Control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at designated gates and access points.
- Conduct regular patrols of the campus to prevent unauthorized activities.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and other security equipment; promptly report suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire incidents, medical emergencies, natural disasters, accidents, and law and order situations.
- Assist in crowd management and traffic regulation during Institute events, VIP visits, and special occasions.
- Maintain security logs, incident reports, visitor records, and other relevant documentation.
- Operate security equipment, communication devices, and other systems provided by the Institute.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the Security Officer or competent authority.
- Perform duties on a shift basis, including night shifts, as assigned.
