BPSC TRE 4.0 Exam Pattern Overview
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts the School Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4.0) under Advt. No. 15/2026 as a single offline OMR-based test. The exam tests candidates across Language Proficiency, General Studies, and Specific Domain Subject Knowledge.
There is no interview process for school teacher posts. Final selection depends entirely on the written test marks scored in Part II & Part III.

Category-Wise Minimum Qualifying Marks
To be considered in the final merit selection list, candidates must secure minimum category-wise qualifying percentages in the main written exam (Part II + Part III total of 120 Marks):

Tie-Breaking & OMR Guidelines
If two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate marks in the 120-mark merit score, BPSC applies the following tie-breaking order:
- Higher Marks in Part III (Domain Subject): The candidate with higher score in Part III is given preference.
- Higher Marks in Part II (General Studies): If Part III marks are equal, Part II score is checked.
- Part I Language Score: If both Part II and III marks are tied, Part I language paper marks are evaluated.
- Seniority by Age: The older candidate gets higher rank.
- Devanagari Script Name Alphabetical Order: Name spelling in Devanagari script is used as final tie-breaker.
